THIS YEAR WE’RE SUPPORTING
The 2023 RUN! GEEK! RUN! beneficiary is Move2Learn. Move2Learn is an award-winning 501(c)(3) Serving Alexandria City Public Schools. We use movement to transform learning so all students can reach their highest potential by providing simple yet revolutionary tools that inspire movement in the classroom and throughout the day to prime students’ brains for learning.
We’re the only organization in the region that offers robust programming and equipment to keep students moving before, during and after school. Our expertise in the field makes us a first stop and trusted resource for educators.
Our programs are free to all students and take place at the schools so getting to and from them is a non issue. We also make sure everyone has what they need to participate. In other words, we remove barriers to getting in movement throughout the day to ensure all students can reach their highest potential. Because we use movement to transform learning.
Raised for our beneficiaries since 2016

RUN THE RACE!
This year, the RUN! GEEK! RUN! 5K race will be held tentatively on Sunday, September 24, 2023, at 8:30 a.m. The race will take place in Alexandria, VA, with the starting line between George Washington Middle School and the Braddock Road metro stop.
To ensure the success of RUN! GEEK! RUN! we need volunteers! Volunteers can hand out water, serve as course marshals, and provide support at the finish line. This is a great way to get involved if you don’t want to run or walk the course.

Great Race for a Great Cause
This is an excellent race and what a great cause each and every year!
Super fun race!
Even though we showed up 20 minutes late, the race crew were very friendly and caught some great candid shots! The route was great, too!
I love this race!
I love this race. I’ve PR’d every year I’ve run it and got 3d then 2d place women in the last 2 years (this year I’ll be trotting along post injury but will still be having fun!) Perfect course, surprisingly well spectated, and lovely group puts it on.
Fun 5K for all runners!
Rain or shine, Run! Geek! Run! is always a great time! I've run RGR three times so far (2016, 2018, and 2019) and have loved it. The course is flat, pretty scenic, and has great pit stops of motivation along the way. The shirts are awesome, as well as the prizes if you run fast, and if the weather is nice you can get a picture with Eugene the mascot! Will definitely continue to run this race!
Awesome race for a newbie!
I loved this race. Beautiful course and friendly people made me feel comfortable on my first 5k! it goes through a suburban neighborhood on wide flat streets and you get cheered on as you go.
