RUN! GEEK! RUN! Named Nonprofit Organization of the Year by Mount Vernon Springfield Chamber of Commerce

Alexandria, VA – February 20, 2025 – RUN! GEEK! RUN!, a beloved local nonprofit known for its annual 5K race benefiting other Alexandria-based nonprofits, has been awarded the prestigious Nonprofit Organization of the Year award by the Mount Vernon Springfield Chamber of Commerce. The award recognizes RUN! GEEK! RUN!’s outstanding contributions to the community through its fundraising efforts and promotion of health and wellness.

RUN! GEEK! RUN! has raised more than $200,000 for various Alexandria-based nonprofits over the years, providing crucial funding for their programs and services. The organization’s annual 5K race is a popular community event that brings together runners, walkers, and families of all ages and fitness levels. The 18th annual race will be held on September 28, 2025 and will benefit Senior Services of Alexandria.
