RUN! GEEK! RUN! Raises $48,800 for Senior Services of Alexandria Following 18th Annual Race

Alexandria, VA – October 29, 2025 – RUN! GEEK! RUN!, the annual 5k race and 1-mile fun run benefiting a different Alexandria charity each year, announced today a significant donation of $48,800 to its 2025 beneficiary, Senior Services of Alexandria (SSA).
The 18th annual RUN! GEEK! RUN! 5k was held on Sunday, September 28, 2025, and brought together more than 650 participants to race through the streets of Alexandria, VA. Yesterday, on October 28, Race Director Rita Foss presented the official check to Mary Lee Anderson, Executive Director of Senior Services of Alexandria.

It’s always an incredible event fueled by the spirit of the Alexandria community, and we can’t thank our amazing sponsors and volunteers enough for making this such a success” said Rita Foss, Race Director for RUN! GEEK! RUN! “Partnering with Senior Services of Alexandria was truly wonderful; the work they do is absolutely vital in supporting our city’s seniors, and we are honored to contribute to their mission.”
The $48,800 donation represents the net proceeds from the race, which featured runners, walkers, and volunteers from across the greater D.C. area and beyond.
